Ajiri Kenyan Black Tea is exceptionally full-bodied and smooth. Winner of the "Best Black Tea" at the World Expo, this Kenyan Black Tea is grown in the Kisii Hills of western Kenya, an area known for its abundant rainfall and fertile soil.
Each box is adorned with a unique piece of art handmade by women in western Kenya. Every label is made using dried bark from banana trees and handmade paper. Inside the box, a small twine or bracelet, is made using recycled magazines and dried bark from banana trees.
100% of the profits are donated to the Ajiri Foundation, which provides school fees and programming for orphans in western Kenya.

Brewing Instructions
Bring fresh water to a boil; steep for 3-5 minutes or until desired strength. One teaspoon brews one cup of strong tea.
I’ve been drinking several cups of Ajiri Kenyan black tea every morning for years. I subscribe to monthly shipments so I’m never without. I can’t find any other tea that compares, especially because I prefer a loose leaf tea. It is the perfect black tea!
First time I saw Ajiri tea it was sitting on a counter at a wine shop in a little town in Montana about 12 years ago. I liked the story on the back and then the beautifully hand made art inside the box (every one is different and really a work of art)
And then I drank the tea…it was superb! When I moved to KY I kept an eye out for Ajiri Kenyan tea ….I even had a friend back in Montana send me 4 boxes
Then of course I looked them up on line and subscribed to 2 boxes loose leaf sent every 5 weeks (love my little ritual with the loose leaf and my teal tea pot every morning. Makes my day!

I only drink this tea as I have not found any other that I like as much. I drink the pure black tea and the chai, and both start my day just right.
